Planning Commissioners Lunch Workshop: “What Every Planning Commissioner Should Know About the San Diego Region” - February 15, 2008 - Based on last year’s successful planning commissioners workshop, we are happy to announce that the next Planning Commissioners Lunch Workshop, “What Every Planning Commissioner Should Know About the San Diego Region,” will be held on Friday, February 15, 2008 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Caltrans building in Old Town. Similar to last year’s event, this workshop will be sponsored by San Diego Section of APA, SANDAG, Caltrans District 11, and the League of California Cities. The workshop is tailored to provide Planning Commissioners, citizen advisory group members, citizen planners and planning staff with important information about San Diego’s regional plans and programs, and how they interact with local plans. New this year is a special session on climate change. Also included are optional subregional roundtable discussions, providing opportunities to discuss specific geographically-based planning issues. Lunch and drinks will be provided. Online reservations for the workshop are now available.
